Bobbio Pellice

Bobio Pellice, formerly called “Mount Bobbio,” is the largest yet least densely populated district in Italy. Since the area is high up in the mountains it is a great place for holidays. Mount Bariound dominates the landscape and you can appreciate the rugged beauty of the mountains surrounding the centre.

Bobbio Pellice is 734 metres above sea level. In the past only shepherds lived here but nowadays it is a destination for tourists seeking relaxation, peace and quiet, wanting to enjoy the beauty of nature, others like going on excursions or participating in Summer or Winter sports.

Forterocca is situated on the site of the former Montegranero Army Barracks in this mountain village.
